Dear Big Sister

Dear Big Sister,

I missed you when you were locked up.

Wish that depression hadn't popped up.

I know you weren't in actual jail

But I know that being in that hospital made you want to yell.

I couldn't even visit you and say hello.

I couldn't hug you tight. Why did you have to go?

Why did you cut yourself? Why did you want to die?

Why did you hide your mental illness from me and not let me see you cry?

I know that I'm young and you think I can't fathom your mental demand.

But, my dear big sister, just give me a chance to understand.

You're a hero to me and I look up to you in every way.

Please, just stay out of the hospital and I'll make you proud every day.

I'll continue to study hard and make you proud of me.

Win in life for both of us. Just wait and you'll see.

Just promise me big sister that you won't get locked up

And let me love you when your depression pops up.
