Dear Bipolar Disorder

Dear Bipolar Disorder,

How you creep around the corner.

When you come it’s unexpected; you make life hectic.

The body you possess feels euphoria,

Jubilation, ecstasy, bliss.

Yet in all reality you are manic depression, a lifelong obsession,

Melancholy, misery, desolation.

Reality no longer exists,

Hopes and dreams disappear.

One by one they all fall.

An angel personality twisted into someone unrecognizable.

Who are you now?

Medicine never seemed to help in the past.

High as a kite, then a steep fall to the ground.

Others around you care, but there is only so much they can do.

Help yourself

Heal yourself

Don’t forget who you are,

You are never alone.
