Since the beginning of time you made me feel I could do no crime

Your love makes me feels me feel like I will live till the end of time

Its true momma your love is is within me

I used to ask why you beat me

To discipline me was your answer

Your laugh would spread through my body like cancer

My anger as a kid was infectious

But your smile was contagious

As a kid you told me to be courageous
