Dear Boy
I loved you
Became passionate for your love
A desire for your embrace
And what do you do?
You took it and threw it up above
then went to go admire another pretty girl’s face
You had me wrapped around your finger
Like a slave
I only served you
And like any other owner
You abused me
But I still stayed by your side
You never came for my rescue at the sound of my ringer
You never appreciated the love I gave
Nor did you ever truthfully say, “I love you, too”
But I was a romantic stoner
the pain you left was something I could not see
And to leave you was something I could never decide
But the one time I restrain
The one time I tell you to leave
Just so you’d hopefully stay and hold me tight
Let me know you love me and would never let me go
You left
That gave me the worst of any pain
Being loved was something I thought I could believe
I should’ve known better than to be right
Threw your eyes, I was only a side hoe
Can’t go much more in depth
Yet I still could not be mad
Since you turned it around and me the one to blame
Because I was the one who opened the door
And you were the one who walked out
You’ve made me become so sad
All you ever did to me was body shame
It’s just now hit me to the core
now all emotion in me left like a drought
I’d now viewed myself very dim
Looked at myself like I was hideous
That people would only ever want one from me
Is what is between my thighs
I thought I was worthless until I met him
He helped to show me I was gorgeous
Showed me the beauty within me that I couldn’t see
Helped me to vanquish all you said were lies
After you I promised myself I’d never fall that hard
Never love someone as much as I loved you
Never feel the kind of pain you gave
And never again be someone’s whore
But he showed me my heart shouldn’t always be on guard
That could be loved too
That I can be save
That I could be so much more
You made me fell pathetic
He thought I was wonderful
The pain I’ll always have is something you’ll never get
Yet he’s shown me happiness can be seek
You’ve made me poetic
And for that I am grateful
But the process is something I’ll never forget
Even the thought of it makes me weak
I thought of you as my tomorrow
My everything
but what made it so toxic
was that you didn’t see it too
He’s finally relieved my sorrows
for each other, we’d do anything
Meeting him was pretty ironic
Especially all you ever did was say “I love you”
