Dear A boy looking for
Dear A boy looking for lust,
Lust. The only word that seems to be in your highly elevated vocabulary.
To be loved not for lust, but to be loved for love seems rather rare with you.
Through your eyes I shall never be worthy enough. For a girl like me, who only has beauty on the inside, it is somewhat impossible to portray that beauty on the outside for you to see. For I am just a blur in the background of your painting. Your eyes only capable to focus on those who showcase their beauty on the outside. Though it is all lust.
Oh, why do I still like you? Then I remember. I like you for your soul and everything inside it. The deep, meaningful conversations. Do not forget our laughs and smiles. The beauty within is what I see in you. But, I, an average girl am looking for love. And you, an average boy, is looking for lust.
But how must I just stop? Because it pains me to say that to fall for someone you see everyday, however, knowing that no matter how much you try you cannot have them because you will never be good enough, manages to break my heart a little more as the clock ticks away.
Quite similar to a single daisy scrounging for water in a vacant desert, the roots simply trying to grasp onto even the smallest drop of water they can get ahold of. Putting in all their effort only to find out there is no hope at all. The roots still care and will do anything they can if that means the daisy gets to live even one day longer, but as time countinues to tick away, it will die because it will never be good enough to survive in the mysterious, quiet, vast desert.
And while I still like you, and I do not think those feelings will fade, you are still a boy looking for lust and I am a girl who is incapable of changing your ways.
Sincerely,
A girl looking for love
