Dear Broken 12,

                            Dear Broken 12,

          At twelve,

I realized that no amount of scrubbing would remove his touch.

No amount of time would rid me of his voice as it rings in my ears,

taunting...

Saying things that no tweleve year old should hear.

    At twelve,

I realized that I had to stop feeling.

Feeling left me confused and broken.

He'd tell me i was fat, that i was a pig,

yet when he got the chance he'd touch me in places i thought were innocent.

As a twelve year old female you go through these big changes,

Changes that make you feel older and more mature.

That day I learned never ask for things.

Dont ride alone with him.

  At twelve,

You should never have to take sex and fondling seriously.

It should just be sick humor to a group of friends to discuss when there's nothing else to talk about.

I learned dont trust men.

dont get too close.

being bitten there hurts...

   At twelve,

I learned sex wasnt a joke.

Fondling leaves you feeling dirty and empty.

  Today..

today i realized that im no longer twelve.

Im still broken,

still hesitant,

still reluctant to say i need anything.

Im still scared,

scared that ill be haunted by his memory forever.

  Im 17,

feeling like im still a weak, used, broken twelve.

                                                    , Hurting 17
