Dear Brother

Dear Brother,

Maybe they want you to be manly,

the perfect masculine masterpiece

They will probably want you to be normal

So you will fit in with the other kids.

The secret is

None of that matters

I want you to find the thing that makes your heart beat so fast you think it will fly out of your chest.

I want you to experience life.

I want you to feel comfortable in your skin

Your body should feel like home

I want you to know it is okay to cry

It’s okay not to feel okay.

I want you to love your smile,

And feel like using it often.

I know I am older and I will have to be leaving soon but pay no mind to that.

I love you and I am always there if you need me,

No matter how far away.

Just call me and I'll come running.
