Dear Cancer

Dear Cancer,

               You have shaken lives including mine

               And have thrown everything out of line

               You have taken my sanity and replaced it with something much worse

               Which is the thought of a hearse

               So many people die

               And I pray that I never have to say good-bye

               My family loathes you

               And I do too

               You tore my family into shreds

               And got inside our heads 

               You consumed my life

               And made it feel as if I was being stabbed by a knife

               I had a great life

               But then you filled it with strife

This challenge is not easy

               And makes me queasy

               But I am becoming a new me

               However I still don’t know if I should flea

               You have given me so much pain

               To the point that I am going insane

               Although it cannot be seen

               I secretly scream

I never thought it would be me

               This is my plea

               Cancer, please take this in the best way

               But simply Go away!
