Dear Communicators

Dear Communicators of the world, 

Could you please let honesty unfurl?

Give it to me straight, just give it quick.

Beacuase I’m so fed up and so sick,

Of bending over backwards to try, 

To understand that look in your eye.

For what do you mean? Are you sincere?

So grand it would be if words were clear.

If what flowed through your beautiful lips, 

Was true, intact, and not just a script.

My bad, it’s my fault for not “trying”,

To “trust” and decipher your lying.

I’m sick and tired of listening,

With my neck already stiffening.

Referring your words back to your sign,

Deciding if it’s kindred with mine. 

Trying to recreate the magic, 

Of poetry; joyful or tragic. 

In our everyday conversation,

Requiring your concentration.

Just to vulgarly throw it out there,

I’m sick of trying hard not to stare, 

At that fake glare, or sprouting nose hair. 

Pretending that I’m charasmatic, 

Charming, or even enigmatic. 

Yes, I yearn for meaning and for change,

Often packaged in things that seem strange.

Who knows, maybe I’ll just curl up,

Inside a cave or perhaps a cup. 

Become a hermit and live alone,

Roam a dark forest of the unknown. 

Could be fun, yet we keep coming back.

We continuously choose to yack.  

Is it all just the sport of the game?

Or do I like the sound of your name?

Whatever the reason, we still feel. 

                                                                                                                                        So please people, let’s just keep it real.
