Dear curiosity

Dear curiosity,

Why do you urge me,

To always find the truth?

I am held captive.

Knowledge sets me free.

You push me past

The limits I have known.

To uncover secrets

And make them shown.

Until I find

What my brain seeks,

I'm in a bind-

Trapped in my mind.

Evidence eludes me.

How long must I search?

You are relentless.

What must I do,

To end this search,

When what I seek,

Does not exist?

But is it out there,

Hiding, just for fun?

It lives to fuel my torture,

But when this is all done,

My breath will be sweet.

The wonderful breath of joyous relief.
