Dear Dad
Dear Dad,
The 41 years you spent on this earth,
I was only graced to spend 18 with you.
I look back on all those years
And think, "how ungrateful we all were."
You used to tell me every day how I changed your life.
You loved us with everything in your soul, and we loved you.
Yet, you always asked me when you called, "are you mad at me, too?"
I would laugh it off saying, "you're ridiculous, Dad."
But, I never really knew how real those words were to you.
It's been three years since we've heard your laugh.
The things I would do to have you back...
I've lived a lot of life without you,
I wish you could see.
I've almost graduated college,
I just know how proud you would be...
But I just need you to know a few things.
You say I changed you,
But you changed me.
I love you and miss you so much.
Things will never be the same without you,
But on thing is for certain.
I'll always be your favorite (only) daughter.
Your babygirl..
Yep, that's me.
