Dear Daddy

Dear Daddy,

It was early in her life that things would change forever

without her even knowing, he had dissapeared too soon.

Now either way she would start her endeavor.

Life was starting whether she liked it or not,

the end of her senior year was coming in hot.

Never knowing how passionate a person could be,

and suddenly becoming so numb.

Her main and only focus now,

was finding who she'd become.

Life continued fighting her,

and although she was strong

she begged the universe to tell her why he was gone.

Graduation was rolling around,

while everyone had it together

the girls highest focus were her grades and the weather.

Wow look outside, the snow is beautiful, but she has so much on her mind.

How is she to focus?

She just misses her daddy

but doesn't want them to notice.

Life is now flying by,

yesterday was 2 months

it was everything she could to not to cry.

The memories she shared with him were maybe enough,

a hug would be better

who knew it'd be so tough?

Doing life without your dad is the weirdest thing,

alive or not.. it takes alot out of a human being.

He won't see her graduate

or walk her down the aisle,

but she'll miss him everyday

till she's old and senile.

From here on out she will work so hard

to make sure she has the life she knows he would want.

Although this life would have to be done without him,

she won't get lost in the crowd.

This ones for you daddy, I promise I'll make you proud.

i love you - 1/26/17 - a year already?
