Dear Darkness

You promise to protect me,

To care for and love me

I believed you

I trusted you

You lied to me

You fooled everyone, you fooled me

I can't forgive the pain you gave me

It runs through my bones, to my soul

You took everything from me

You took my only love,

My lighthouse through the storms

It's my fault

I was naïve and gullible

You liked that, it fueled your sickness

Just the thought of you, brings me to my knees

You destroyed my being

Everything inside is gone

I'm empty, a hollow shell of a girl who once prided herself on strength

You broke me piece by piece

Peeling away, layer by layer,  to my bones

Why must you torture me?

I'm done with your games

You can't hurt me anymore

There's nothing left to take

I hope you're satisfied

Another broken soul for your collection

Well fuck you

I won't let you do this again

I couldn't save me

But you won't take another soul,

Break another girl

I'll never stop fighting you,

Until my last breath

All my love,

A tired soul
