Dear Darkness

I know you think you got me, by the way you pull me in.

I know you think I’ve given up from the despair I’m drowning in.

I can’t see past the tears that fall,

I can’t see past the pain.

I can’t see past the pooling blood from all of my self hate.

I know you think you’ve got me.

But I have not given up.

For even though you’re all I see,

The light will surely come.
