Dear Defeat

Dear Defeat,

You think yourself

strong,

insurmountable.

You puff out your

chest,

proud.

Your stagnant

pride is

your downfall.

You will fall by

your own hand.

Humanity is a lousy

looser.

But we are a great

ego-bruisser.

So come for us,

with weapons drawn,

and we shall fight.

Because the bite of the ant

has toppled armies

and you are one small mite.
