Dear Depression

Dear Depression

Go away and rid yourself from this world;

You are similar to my absent father.

You have done nothing but impose obstacles on what I have longed for long enough.

I will demolish you one way or another.

I'll stomp you to the ground,

or worse, into hell with all the other demonic thoughts like you.

This would only serve me to know that it is true.

You have been defeated.

I'll punch you into a brick wall and make you bleed,

like you have made me, in other days, be.

You have taken too much from me;

My freedom to do things, and my lust and passion to accomplish my goals, and dreams.

I have lost myself to you, that dark figure in the shadows, slowly creeping up behind me.

Yes, I have seen you. At first I was afraid.

You have taken everything from me, and it is my own fault,

I allowed you to stay.

My friends; They left

My mother was worried

my heart full of sorrow,

and all you could beg for was "More Please"

That devilish grin;

was all I saw.

I picked up my blade, and just for a moment, I forgot.

My cabinet was filled to the brim with antidepressants,

and a puddle of red liquid lay on my bathroom floor

You said you were my friend, or so you presented.

I remember,

My angels had warned me.

They said to stay aware.

I looked at my bathroom mirror and all i could spit out was "Life isn't fair"

You laughed and smirked and for a moment, I believed

that the world was over,

and that I could never again achieve.

After that, the moment blurred up in a haze.

I breathed deeply and wondered if those were the end of my days.

I don't understand what came over me.

A power greater than life itself, had swept over my body.

You stood there confounded.

I breathed in desperation and blurted out "He has arrived, my lord and savior,  You better start running"

A battle between the villain and hero began,

almost like in the movies;

only you didn't stand a chance.

After the battle was over, all I could manage to do was dance.

My demons were gone; For you represent them all.

He had smited you with a simple phrase.

I had thought it was magic only it resulted to be a holy praise.

That of which had been mentioned to me before

but it didn't start to have any meaning until now.

It had been lifted off from me; The burden I had bore.

That day had changed my life forever.

You had been left in the past

and all I could do was become better,

You taught me how to be alone and depend upon only myself, Yes.

But i furgered lonesome wasnt the best thing to desire.

You must bless.

I have been ridden from my sorrow,

but I recognize you still exist.

You search for victims to petrify like there is no tomorrow.

I will find you and eliminate you from the face of this earth

even if I have to promise that I will keep you away from those babies at birth.

I don't care if it takes days, weeks, months, or even years.

I have had enough of this,

You have caused too many tears.

You will not bring me down.

  I will travel Land and Sea, for the sole purpose of casting you out.

I will make grown ups and children happy,

and for that, I might have to become sappy.

I will have to learn new languages and maybe even change my sense of humor.

All I know is that you won't be able to reach those children with tumors.

I will rid you away, and here I clearly state:

You will not bring me or this world down,

I promise here by oath, I will cast you out.

Through those hearts you will not reach,

I stand my ground and for my Lord and Savior, I preach.

Sincerely,

Your worst nightmare.
