Dear Depression

Dear Depression,

Do you like the way you make me feel?

Do you like giving me no motivation to get out of bed in the morning?

Do you like making me feel as though my life is worthless?

Do you like making me think I am unloved?

Do you like forcing me to see my body as ugly and unattractive?

Do you like making me believe that I have no purpose on this earth?

Do you like forcing me to stay up late overthinking everything?

Do you like making me question whether my own life is worth living?

Well,

No more.

I know my life is worth living.

I know that I am loved.

I know my body is beautiful.

I know my heart is beautiful.

I know I have a purpose.

I know everyday is worth living and embracing.

You no longer control me, my life, or my mind.

I am in control.
