Dear Depression

Dear Depression,

I don't like you near me. I wish you would go away.

You suck up all my hapiness, and make me feel like shit.

I wish you would leave me alone and let me enjoy my life.

I want to be normal and I want to be happy. You keep me from that.

I don't want to be numb and I don't want to be depressed.

I want to be happy and stay happy. You keep me from that.

I hope one day I will be rid of you.

I hope that you will understand that you are a trial I will one day overcome.

Sincerely not yours, an aspiring poet.
