Dear Dyslexia

Dear Dyslexia, slow down this brain we're on overload again!

An electrical socket working much more than.

Everyday to cope in this mean world is a struggle.

Always having to work harder than my peers before we buckle.

Lazy? Ha! Dumb? Certainly Not!

Give us a tape recorder and we'll show you we're hot!

We're the first to show up to class.

Only to run the race and have our grades come in last.

Wake up it's time to fight, the battle has just begun.

Creativity is our weapon to find ways to get things done.

We kicked math's but, put a hurt on art and business.

Keep preserving to the end, integrity is our witness.

Hold your head up our highest accomplishment is before us.

The verdict is in, the acceptance letter has been received.

College here we come, all we had to do is believe!

So, dyslexia you aren't anything I can fix.

But, together we can work to embrace it!

Love Always
