Dear Extraverts

Dear Extraverts,

In a crowd of people

I am alone

But I am not lonely

All around me is peaceful

In a circle of friends

No, I don’t say much

But I can see your mind

I can see your thoughts

I sense you, perceive you, understand you, comprehend you

When I’m not talking, the voices in my head are screaming

When I am silent, my mind is alive, active, burning

Don’t think that I’m shy, rude, or lonely

I have seen your eyes, your soul, your mind

My mind is awake when my tongue is asleep

I am not dozing

My mind is composing

Yes I am an introvert

But don’t think I’m not alert
