dear father

Dear father,

You were there everyday of my life but why,

You neglected your duties as a father and left me feeling empty inside.

You left me to the elements of the world with no one to seek comfort in.

While you were chasing the high of your life, your children were seeking out father figures in everyone around them.

But yet now, when I’m trying to establish myself in this world you want to come into my life

Why is that?

Is it because you see me doing better than you or those around you?

Or is it because you feel guilty?

No matter the reason It’s too little to late.

Your little girl’s all grown up now.

Sincerly, one of six
