Dear Father

Dear Father,

Not a day has gone by

were I haven't felt alone

even though I try

it is hard to let you go

in the nights I cry

in my room at home.

I will try

my very best

to smile and lie

but it feels like a test

that I can't survive.

It's hard to let go

and say it's the last cry

because deep down inside I know

that's a lie.

A year has gone by

yet I can't bare leave your side

because I know in my heart that I didn't get to say

goodbye.
