Dear Father

A daughter's first love should be none other than her father And when the world bashes you it bothers Me, because you, my father, was my first love I like to think of you as a blessing from above A blessing that taught, that bought, that faught When your young girl's mind was distraught Filled with curiosity, but constantly You prayed for me, intercede for me and let God do a work in me But the world says fathers dont exist these days The same father that put me on game To these lame "muts" You was right You said all they wanna do is cut The same father that said a "C" aint enough, its just enough And I thought you was too tough, too rough But just enough really aint enough But the world says fathers dont exist these days To you my father, they just dont give enough praise
