DEAR FEAR.
I’m afraid,
Fear is like a cursed blade.
You’ll continue to fight it until your hair turn gray.
There isn’t really much to say,
I seemed to have lost my way.
I’m afraid of failing, the concept of it is degrading.
What I’m I so afraid of?
It fits me like a glove.
I let fear consume my body,
It has become a burden that is too heavy for me to bear.
It suffocates me, I need air.
I feel like it’s custom-made for me to wear.
I can’t ask for help,
It makes me look weak.
Can’t speak, I feel like a freak.
All I do is put my chin down and let fear win.
Sometimes I feel like I’m not strong enough to face these things on my own.
I’m grown, I shouldn’t be scared of being alone.
I feel like I drown in negativity,
It has become my daily activity.
I fight these fears away,
While I pray to see another day.
I fight these feelings, I Keep them from stealing my confidence.
Built a fence for defense, it made perfect sense.
Fear, you’ll not make me bleed!
You are not what I need.
Mark my words, fear, I will be free from you.
You got me feeling blue, walking around without a clue.
You will not screw with my head,
And you can’t keep me in my bed.
Enough tears shed,
I will no longer be afraid to eat in the dark,
Not scared of your shark.
Go ahead and take a bite,
I will bleed, but fear.... I will get through the night.
