Dear Fear

Dear fear,

I don’t like the way that sounds, “Dear Fear”.

It sounds like I like you.

Like you’re special.

You’re not.

You tell me I can’t succeed.

You tell me I can't even try.

You tell me for certain, if I do, I will fail.

Well this,

This is my first, and most importantly last, letter to you.

This letter is my declaration letter,

My break up letter.

My "won't see ya later" letter.

Today I am telling you,

I. am. done.

I am done listening to your lies,

telling me I can't even try.

Today I am declaring freedom over you.

Today I choose to listen to the truth.

I can be brave.

I can take risks,

and most of all,

I can succeed.

This is my final goodbye.

You no longer have any hold on me.

I won't see ya later,

Me
