Dear First Crush

Dear First Crush,

I dreamt about you once.

I was there and of course

you were there, and

we live out our entire lives

while I slept.

In reality,

my dream came true

on your birthday.

The night was cool,

and the air was calm.

I said, “yes.”

After that,

all that I cared about

revolved around you.

After that,

I got to call you

mine.

I want you.

We were supposed to be happy.
