DEAR FIRST LOVE...

Dear First Love,

I fianlly found the words, I know what I need to say,

I used to think we were meant to be in every single way.

I thought we were going to last,

Now I have grown to hate you, but the past is in the past.

I could not come back to you, I had to let you go,

I know this may be hard to hear but it is things you need to know,

I think it is unfair,

that I am made out to be the toxic one but I was always there.

All I wanted was for you to listen to me,

But I soon realized you were never going to see.

You are not here,

And that was once my one and only fear.

We had to face it,

Now I am stuck with all of these memories of you and I just want to erase it.

When it comes to love, I did not know how to avoid it, I did not know how to duck,

I always wished I could be like you and not give a fuck.

You act like all I ever did was cause you pain, I only made you hurt?

But I let you push me around for three years and drag me through the dirt.

I put you above me, always asked about your feelings but you never cared about mine,

I found out way too late that I was wasting my time.

Trust me, I will forget you; you put me through too much pain to bare,

I just want to find someone that actually cares.

This is my final message to you, Goodbye.
