Dear Frankie,

You lasted only 21 years on this 4.5 billion-year-old rock we call Earth.

On a universal scale, each second in Earth's time represents 440 years.

Which, technically speaking, means your life spanned the smallest fraction of a second on the comic calendar.

However, the time you spent here was not merely that trivial.

Your impact on my life and the lives of so many others was greater than any force in the Universe.

The energy you radiated was enough to power every city in this world.

Regardless of the negative experiences this Earth put you through,

You fought back at it with 100 times the positivity.

The corporeal world could not handle you, you made it too good.

Although your death was unfair, sudden, and a stab in the heart of everyone who loved you,

Rather than dwelling on your death as a loss,

I try to see it as the universe's gain.

Because although it has only been a year, and the wound is still fresh,

And that the only tangible thing I have from you is the sweater you gave me when I got caught in the rain,

The universe still gained another star.

It gained another ball of immense energy that this Earth could not handle.

And from that, I feel your warmth every day,

And I thank the universe for being able to experience you, Frankie.
