Dear Friend

I remember when we were enemies Our fists used to crack our very bones As if, we were trying to make the other submit To bow down in power And accept your defeat I never really understood Until I was lost in the sea of my emotions The tides of despair grasped onto me like I was drowning It wasn't until the storm was over That the rainbow blossomed anew And your radiant smile That illuminated our past transgressions Showered with me such delight We are thicker than blood You are more like my yang So I will always treasure you deep inside my heart Even if it wasn't planned I can still see another day When you and I are holding hands Always together Never apart My dearest friend
