Dear Friend,
Dear Friend,
I see you in me
In the mirror is no ordinary image
There appears us, somehow fused into one
I touch my cheeks and touch yours, that soft yet toned and elegant face
I see my eyes and your beautiful brown eyes filled with candid hopes and desires that seem a world away
I hear my voice and your voice spewing elegant and powerful prose about the things we care
about
Same as mine
We, my friend, are one
We are
Intelligent creatures
Thoughtful and considerate towards others
Believers of education
Intrepid adventurers
Delightfully hilarious
Endless, passionate dreamers
Hopeless romantics
Risk takers
Desperately seeking yearning approvals from our parents
Yet despite good intentions, this world rejects us
Why are they blind?
to positivity
honesty
and good vibes?
Why can’t they see that all we want to be is
together
