Dear Friend

Mon, 02/12/2018 - 22:44 -- renukav

Don’t think I didn’t appreciate our time together,

Even if we don’t talk anymore.

Anger is my tragic flaw and not taking the blame is yours and as they

Reared their heads at each other, our friendship became no more.

Friends, they say, make it through thick and thin, but what I’ve learnt is that any

Relationship can be fragile, if commenced on an unstable foundation.

I hoped that you would fix the issues of which you were unaware,

Endlessly hoping that we wouldn’t end in despair,

Not realizing that bottling up my feelings would only take us so far.

Dodging problems from the get-go is no way to start.

,

I’m aware now that anger is not the solution, no

Matter how true my words were about the situation.

Still, why couldn’t you see the love that caused the

Overflow of emotion?

Right or wrong, you could have tried,

Rather than erasing any chances of continuation.

You and I could have been us, if not for this failed intervention.

.
