Dear Friend

I saw a cowboy ride a seahorse the other day,

It was as absurd as watching your life fade away.

Somehow the story the strange pair tells helps me see,

Our laughable lives; how much you meant to me.

The story unfolds, as they stumble through the prose,

Hearts continued to implode till they finally froze.

At the end of the day, it’s as impossible

as watching the cowboy and seahorse walk away...

Your dead and gone, yet never really leave,

Only the cowboy and seahorse could explain this to me.
