Dear Future

Dear future child,

You are the result of an unexpected love.

A love now that I could never live without.

A love that got me through so much, and still does.

It was a feeling I wasn’t really searching for, but found all the same.

And I appreciate it every second that I’m alive.

I just want you to know, that my definition of love hasn’t changed since I met you.

You are a blessing, and a whole new adventure we plan to go through together.

When I was younger, kids were the last thing on my mind.

All I wanted was to get through school and get a job and to just survive.

But now... it’s different.

By this time, I’ve thought days, weeks, months, even years about you...

And how drastically you would change my life. Forever.

Now that you’re here, I know that I’ve made the right choice.

Always know, that you are never alone.

You can always come to me for guidance and advice.

I am here to tell you what I know,

And to help you get to where you want to go.
