Dear Future Me
Dear Future Me,
I’m sorry.
There are so many things I wished I could have done better.
I should have been a better student, a better friend, a better sister, a better daughter…
The list only continues as my eyes get wetter.
I’ve failed a lot, I cannot deny.
On certain nights, I’d stay up wondering “Why do I even try?”
I contemplate. contemplate. contemplate.
Pitch black.
There is nothing I see in this future.
“Why do I even try?”
Time passed, yet still I continued to not move forward.
And then you appeared.
And I remembered.
You are the better student, better friend, better sister, and better daughter.
You are my possibility.
You are my future.
I’m sorry
no more.
Me
