Dear Future Me

Dear future me,

Don’t stress over the small things. Sometimes things aren’t going to go the way you plan, you need to take the time to breath before getting upset. Don’t let people use you, you may think that you’re being nice and helping them but they will come back to you every time for the same thing. They will never learn if you keep helping them. Sometimes it is better to keep your mouth shut if it isn’t nice, even if the person you want to say it to or about deserves it. Never give up on your dreams, others, or yourself because there isn’t enough people with hope in the world. Show others what it looks like to be proud in yourself and what having respect for others and yourself looks like. Never let anyone try to change you because your imperfections make you who you are and being you is the best you there can be. Who cares if you’re weird because that’s just how you are, and if someone doesn’t like your weirdness they can leave because they don’t deserve to have your weirdness in their life. Don’t let negative people in your life and always have a positive mental attitude, even if it’s hard to there is always a bright side to everything, you just have to find it.

You are smart, even if you don’t think so. Never let anyone tell you otherwise, and always be kind to others and kindness will find you when you least expect it. Never push people to be happy they will be happy when they are meant to be. Always try your best even if it’s something you don’t like to do. Never do things that can be done today tomorrow. You can’t make everyone happy so don’t try to. You will lose people close to you, but you will later learn it just made you stronger and a much happier person. Take your time and breath when you need to, there are times where you need to push yourself much more than other times. You are beautiful, you always have been even if you couldn’t see it. You will have your own place in life, everyone does. Most importantly, you have to love yourself before you can truly love anyone else.

                                                                                Yours Sincerely,

                                                                                    Mckynzie N. Green
