Dear Future me

Dear future me,

Here we are again. I sit with waiting arms and in my hand a pen.

Thinking about the past, something you're one to do. All of those old memories seem to amuse you.

How is our wife, is she the girl of our dreams? Or is she just a girl you found to fill in the seams?

What are we doing now, is it what we wanted? Or 25 years from now will you be haunted?

How us our home, did we have kids? Where did we settle and where do we live?

How's mom and dad, they doing well or from this very moment did it all go to hell?

We still fighting a war that we know we can't win, inside our own head where it all begins?

Did we grow up or are we stil young, or should I be quiet and begin to hold my tongue?

I'll let you go back into your life. And just remember to say hello to the wife.

Love,

B
