Dear Future Self

Once in a while I say to myself

"Look at the positive side"

because no matter what life throws at me,

I will believe, love, and carry my smile wherever I go.

There is no such thing as, "Being too happy,"

because all I care about is positivity.

Hopefully, my future is as bright as I know it will be.

If I fall, there would be no time to cry,

but to stand up to continue with life.

People might want to lend me a hand,

but I am positive that I can do it myself.

See no failure,

Hear no failure,

Speak no failure,

Maybe, I will have difficulties later in life,

but that makes it an adventure that will never end.

All I know is to stay positive,

All I know is to be hopeful,

All I know is to be the person my family wants me to be;

I definitely know who I want to become.

Proudly, standing up on the stage, in front of my family members,

I will receive my bachelor's degree.

Hoping to see excited, cheery faces as I walk and be the first person in my family to be able to get their hands on a diploma.

I will be more than what my family had in mind.

I will be a leader to my future generations,

that will lead them to the road of the future.

Hope, is all I want.

Optimism is what I have.

Confidence is what I need.

The future holds many mysteries, adventures and life lessons.

There would be no time to wait for them to knock on the door,

Planning ahead the positivity that I would give, give an action of kindness,

lend a hand, speaking out my mind and giving my support to everyone.

I will keep my head in the game, as everyone is cheering for success,

Because success should work for me, not against me. It should help me, and not hurt me.

I am cheering for happiness, positivity and a bright future, that will make me win the game.

And I know we will get further than what you and I expect, we will make it.

Sincerely,

Your Past Self
