Dear Future Self
Dear Future Self,
Life is going to get hard and difficult, and you may dread getting up in the morning. But there is always hope. Everyday, look for something to be thankful for, even it’s eyelids or skin. Be thankful for everything you have. Take nothing for granted and celebrate each and every win.
Remember to visit your family or give them a call every once in a while. Remember to make time for those you care about, even if you haven’t seen them in years and you’re separated by much more than a mile.
Don’t give up on your dreams. Don’t let anyone tell you you can’t achieve your goals or let yourself become one with the streams.. Reach for the stars. Don’t give in to hate or believe the words that bring destruction.
Make sure to spend time with God and read his word while remembering his plans for you. Be kind, be caring, be generous, be helpful, and most of all: Bless those who curse you and pray for those who persecute you.
Love,
Tanessa Skadberg
