Dear Future Self
Dear Future Self,
I hope you know that everything that has happened to you in the past has led you to this exact moment. I hope you still believe that everything happens for a reason. All of the pieces of the puzzle now fit, and you can be thankful for everything that you have lost; people and things. I hope that you have eliminated all of the toxic from your life and that you have not settled for anything but the best offered.
I hope that years later you are still learning lessons and making mistakes. I hope you are living every single day like it is your last, and that you never take it for granted. I hope that you are constantly still giving because you know how it feels to want. I hope that you have stayed true to yourself and what you stand for. I pray that you have reached the internal peace that nobody knew you needed back then. I hope you have overcome the anxiety, depression, and all of the struggles that have come with the loss of dad. I hope you have defeated everything that was meant to destroy you. I hope that you are standing taller than ever and that you have given yourself the credit you deserve for going through what you have in the past. I hope you never lose sight of your goals and what you want in life, especially your hopes and dreams.
Above all, I hope you choose happiness every single day. I hope that you love what you do, and never wish that you should have done things differently. And if you do, I hope that you know that it is never too late to change something. I hope that you are not wishing your days away like I am now. By now, I hope that you have written a book because you always wanted to, and everyone knew you could. I hope that you have seen so much of the world because that is all that you wanted to do as a kid. I hope that you are embracing yourself and your abilities rather than trying to change them to please others. Most importantly, I hope that you are still learning something about yourself every day.
Love,
Present Self
