Dear God

Dear God. You put me here for a reason. Now I ask you to tell me what that reason was. I know not what I must do in life. My life seems pointless. Opportunities come and go, but I let them escape my grasp, not knowing which ones I should reach out to. I seem to not know how to do anything. I watch others excel in work and form close relationships. I have no job and people leave me behind in disgust. I do not fit in. I begin pushing towards goals only to find that my weaknesses form a wall which I cannot pass over or around, blocking the way to the completion of my aspirations. At times it seems there is no meaning in my life. Events swirl around me, clouding my vision and mind. Confusion is my predominant feeling. Why shouldn't I give up? But no, God says, you cannot give up. It is selfish. You were put here for a reason. What reason is that? I plead. To help others and to strive for perfection. Continue pushing up the mountains that form in front of you. You will get stronger. You will be happy and become like me, if only you do not give up.
