Dear God
I'm swimming in a sea of saddness,
running out of breath.
Although it seems I've spotted shore,
I'm always wrong: it's never near.
I wish I'd sink or be attacked,
at least then I'd feel something.
Please God, have mercy on my soul,
please save me from this demon.
You know I'm weak and weary, I've been fighting best I can...
but all my strength has left me dead for all intents and purposes.
Please save me from this demon, I can't do this on my own.
My Lord and Savior, please save me soon.
