Dear God
Dear God,
I see the world of colors and smells, the world of your own creation, from the sunsets to roses. I stop and stare to see each specific detail of this entire world you have made. Such beauty, such ignored beauty that all was too blinded to stop and appreciate for awhile. I was one, but not no more. I'm not blinded any longer.
I would walk on the surface of this world, blinded by self-arrogance and pain. The only view in my peripheral black and white. I would think to myself 'The world is hideous and only brings me pain, oh God, can there be a change?' From the abuse to the people, from the rights sucked out of people's lives, to lives of innocents ruined. That was how I watched everyday life. Yet it wasn't the world's fault, it was of the people.
Just like my pain was because of me. Allowing myself to endure it, to allow pain and sadness and envy and anger to consume me. Allowing all of these negative emotions to consume me and blind me. To suck the ability of me ever seeing color again, it stole my ability to be able to see the beauty and color of the world.
I have been blind. Having my vision stolen away from me. Not any longer. I grew strength, I educated myself. No longer will I be ignorant and blind.
I look at the trees, taking in careful detail to the leaves and aging branches. To the fresh green fields and plains off the highways, and the dark green bushes with sprouting colors of flowers. All this beauty the world creates. But do not forget about the flashing colors of each shade of blue, pink, purple, and reds, the sky at each hour beholding them. The sky have the splashes of all the beautiful colors. The shapes of the clouds. The splashing waves at sea, the snow, the rain. All earth. All the beauty that earth contains. To the colors and smells and touch.
This earth is your beautiful creation, and you have given me the oppurtunity to live on it and appreciate its greatness. Given me life to live something to phenomenal, allowing me to see the color in the black-and-white world I once that I had.
I realise the color, thank you for that.
With much love,
Lucero
