Dear God
Dear God,
Again I write to you
to thank you for today
I know it wasn't good
And the voices didn't go away
But I know for sure
That I have had worse days
And although the voices didn't stop
Sometimes they didn't play
And right now that's all that matters
I had to focus on me
I focused on getting better
Not with my mind but school you see
My parents don't like low grades
And by low I mean under 90
I've been getting all my homework done
And asking when I don't understand
Although my friends are slipping away
I know that I can
I can do better on other things
that don't require my mind
I can focus on other things
Things other than the crime
I know that I'm not better
And I know it may get worse
But for now I'm okay with how I live
Until I write another verse
