Dear Grandma
Dear grandma,
Goodbye my dear grandma.
Goodbye to my sage.
Goodbye to my dreams.
Goodbye to my fantasies.
On the day I heard you passed away
I was convinced that “it’s not real, it’s not real!”
But as the days went by
It was just so hard for me to grasp on
I began to realize that I am wrong
I hanged your picture in the room to grasp upon everyday
But as I looked everyday, I couldn’t stop myself from crying
“Grandma, I miss you.”
My life is so hard without someone to guide me like you
You were the beacon of knowledge
The angel in my dreams
And the grandma that i’ve always wished for
I wish I was there for you when you were sick or in a hospital
And took the place of my aunts and uncles
How can I forget when you told us while in tears about how they went past your house Without a hi or a hello
I can’t get out of my mind the time you called us crying in pain, the pain of a child not recognizing her own mother
I remember all the times when you used to take us shopping for Christmas
And bought us the best of the best, not caring about the cost or the money.
This is what a grandma is
She creates peace wherever she goes and brings in her kids and grandkids together
I am very unfortunate to lose you, to lose my sage in life.
I love you more than you can ever think
I hope you are in the sweet heaven, where you truly deserve to be
I want you to know that I am so proud and happy to have had a grandmother like you
If it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t be the person I am today
Thank you again grandma, I hope you know how much I love you.
