Dear Happiness

Dear Happiness,

It's time we had a chat;

A long winded talk,

Wound down to but a few words.

You are there, always-

Standing silently in the corner,

leaning on my windowsill;

Filling my thoughts and my world.

A thank you must be given,

To my unseen hero;

For when I wanted to give up-

You where there.

You helped me see the world

Not as I thought it was,

But as it is: shining and splendid-

You helped me stand up and go.

So thank you,

For giving me hope and life;

Sincerely,

A person of happiness and optimism.
