Dear Heart

Dear Heart,

Please keep beating for me.

Though life is crashing its force upon you,

Like a ship being crashed on by the Sea.

The constant that keeps me from losing my mind

Is the ticking I feel in my chest,

And you keep me from a fate so unkind.

The false love I fall for may break you,

But as long as I feel you race,

I know I can go on after this too.

Love,

Courtney
