Dear Heart,

Slap!

Her world stopped.

Everything she knew was lost.

Her face burned.

A hand print was etched onto her face.

Slap!

Her heart broke.

This was there end , her heart had betrayed her.

She had betrayed herself.

Slap!

The tears began to swell in her eyes

She refused to let them fall

Refused to accept defeat

She tried to be strong

& ignore the stinging of her cheek

She walked out the house.

& the tears began to fall

Her face burned

She bowed her head

Her favorite day had been ruined.

Robbed from her without care

She hid home in shame and tears

A birthday that can never be repaired.

I had betrayed myself.

I broke you in a matter of months

Forgive me heart

For allowing such a boy to make you weak.
