Dear High School,

When did it become okay to let popularity rule you?

When did it become okay to judge every single person that walked through the doors?

When did it become okay to be rude and always make excuses to teachers?

It happened when everyone stopped caring about school itself.

It happened when the only thing on people's minds was what they looked like.

It happened when society told people it didn't matter how smart they really were.

School shouldn't be about looking the best.

School shouldn't be about how many friends you have.

School shouldn't be about who’s the best sports player.

School should be about wanting to further your education.

School should be about wanting to push yourself to your academic limits.

School should be about wanting to be the best you.

Why did you have to make society right?

Why did you have to change innocent people into something they are not?

Why did you have to make everything about how popular people are?

Why didn't you change people to be ready for the real world?

Why didn't you show people it's okay to be different?

Why didn't you help people understand who they really are?

Why couldn't you make things easy on people?

Why couldn't people just conform to you instead of society?

Why couldn't you stop the change from happening?

Is it really you we could blame?

Is it really you who did this to yourself?

Is it really you who wanted to make things harder for everyone?

It isn't you is it?

It isn't you who turned your back on people.

It isn't you who changed.

I guess it is society to blame.

I guess it is the people who conformed to society.

I guess it is the people who don't care anymore.
