Dear Him

The way his eyes reflect her face

His silky pale skin smooth to her touch

He holds all the power in his mouth

With the simple response of one word

He can either break or make her dreams come true

Yes – ignites a fire within her soul

No – breaks her spirit like a mirror shattered on the floor

She waits for his response, a knife jabbing her stomach

He puts his finger to his mouth and

Consumes all of her by staring into her eyes

And walking away…

She is me and he is nobody no more
