dear hope,

dear hope,

where have you gone?

why did you leave me here alone?

you were what I was betting on;

now I am relying on the unknown.

why couldn’t you stay?

was I too much to handle?

it’s not like you to just run away.

how was I so easy to abandon?

was I not trying hard enough?

were you tired of my dependence on you?

as if life wasn’t already tough,

you couldn’t even pull through.

will you ever come back?

will we ever meet again?

maybe I needed this setback;

so I could believe in myself once again.
